My only complaint was with the blurb worded the way it was that I thought there would be more resistance from Trix and Addy. It states they are "kidnapped", but I think grounded would have been more appropriate. For their own safety they are held at the club, but are allowed to wander the grounds with someone on guard, play video games, watch movies and even get drunk at the club's bar. They even had an organized BBQ for members and family while there...doesn't sound so bad. Also, I never got the impression that Boz wanted to take Trix's father "down". He just thought they were involved in some major screwing of his club's business but there wasn't a full blown war. Not even a whole lot of threats or actions made between the two MC club's really. *sigh*
What this did have was a lot of twists and inside dirt on MC life. Everything from club whores, parties, business and general ethics when it comes to the club and their families. It was fast paced and great flow for a first in the series. It also has a deep emotional pull that was unexpected and for a minor character through out the book. It definitely gained a higher rating from me because of it. But just a warning you may need a box of tissues handy. My mind also couldn't help to slip into SOA mode as I read and made me love it even more.
I'm curious how the next book will play out.
