TOUR-EXCERPT

I led him into the foyer and shut the door behind him. He followed me to the dining room and when I sat, he took the seat beside me. He caught my eyes and raised his brows expectantly.

“Niamh asked me to go to Tír na n’Óg with her and Liam.”

“What, you mean go right now?” Ethan asked.

I nodded. “She doesn’t want to wait until Aoife makes a move. In a way I agree with her.”

“Did you tell me you needed to talk so you could just tell me you were leaving?”

I glanced up at him. “Yes, I hoped you’d understand.”

“No Allison. I don’t understand,” he said, jumping up so fast the chair nearly fell over.

I hesitated. “Niamh came by after you left last night. I know there’s a lot going on here, but I’ve thought about it all night. The sooner we take care of the threat Aoife poses on all of us, the better.”

Ethan stared at me, his face hard. “I understand that part. But I told you whatever happens, I’m coming with you.”

“What?” I said, shaking my head. “You can’t.”

“Like hell I can’t.” He crossed his arms, eyes narrowed. “You’re not leaving me behind this time.”

MY REVIEW:
4.5 *WINK* READ

If you read the first book, The Forgotten Ones, you would know that you HAVE to read this book. Answers are still left unsaid in Book one and there has to be a way that Allison's Mom can get better. That She can smile that smile Allison holds dear in her memories and to have her father and mother finally be together again. But there is one person that stands in the way still; Aoife.

Within the first chapter we are thrown into the drama of it all and there is no time wasted on playing with our emotions. Allison finally realizing that life is too short to be selfless and that she deserves her own happiness that she sees what she needs to do. But she has pushed away the one she loves so many times it may be too late to get him back. I was immediately stabbed in the heart with the way Ethan was acting and there was so much Allison was struggling with. Again, the girl can't get a break!

Some light came to the vague conversations in the past and clarification to Allison's dreams, but there still seem to be some unknown that I was dying to find out. Liam seemed more lost than ever in this book as well. His purpose strong but with so much going on he seemed to be needing a push in the right direction and losing bits of himself here and there. I really wanted to hug the poor guy and make him forget about his problems. I also missed Aodhan in this book, but while he was off on his own agenda I had Ethan to entertain me. Plus, I found myself getting irritated at some of the behaviors of the King! I wanted to hate him for his games but GOD he was hot the way he would try to be so seductive. Emotions were every which way in this book!!

There are still so many twists that when you think the answer is near another bump in the road appears out of nowhere and once again they have to find their way around it. But as they keep getting jerked around there seems to be only one way and it made me nervous that such actions were needed because of the consequences they could hold.

I can not wait to read book 3!

Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasn’t until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known.
