MY REVIEW

4 *WINK* READ

I enjoyed the journey of Jack and Leila very much and fell in love with the series from the first book. But I think this is the first series I read where my rating gradually decreased. I loved the angst and build up in book one, book two's action and suspense was a saver and this one I enjoyed but I felt that I was caught up in some daytime soap. Switching to storylines and alternate characters that had their own agendas. It was juicy but at the same time a bit annoying.

Let's start with the multiple Point of Views (POVs). I have read books with them before, but in this case I felt like it was filler. Filler that I feel would have been better as spin off novella's or even a story of their own. I do like the characters featured but I often wanted to skip their scene and get to the juicy plot. I did become frustrated when I just wanted the characters that started my love for these books and didn't care about the hot make-up sex sessions. I think there is enough of that with Jack and Leila and I am sure most prefer Jack *wink*

After reading through the first time I went through and read the chapters separating all the different characters (Evan, Lori, etc) and felt it easier to connect with the them this way. When I read, I tend to take on the mindset of the main person and live through them in the book. So you can see why I felt like I was suffering from multiple personality disorder lol But I wanted a better feel of the other characters I love and reading it this way made it possible and made me enjoy the book more.

And then the ending...puts a smile on my face. If you are a follower you will enjoy Encore, I am sure.
